There has never been a better time to invest in the exciting and profitable world of independent motion pictures. The dynamic growth of the international film markets has increased opportunity while reducing risk. The international film markets have doubled in the last ten years.
We maintain maximum control of all our projects, thus protecting our investors’ interests by keeping budgets low and sticking to the formula of using private equity investment along with regional funding and other soft money rather than gap funding. This allows us to pass on a much larger revenue slice to our investors’.
Keeping this in mind, One Eyed Dog Films has come up with a number of tax incentive ideas that are advantageous for the UK tax payer and drastically reduce the investors’ current year tax bill whilst enjoying the financial success that comes with film investing. These are fully endorsed by the UK Government. There are several types of tax relief available through the Enterprise Investment Scheme including Income Tax Relief, Capital Gains Tax Exemption and Deferral, Loss Relief and Inheritance Tax Relief, which can reduce the investors’ tax exposure to 48% of the original investment.
